Nick’s experience
Nick is a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience helping people with severe mental health in the public health system before transitioning to full-time private practice. As the Director of Lacuna, he is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive space where individuals feel truly heard and understood.
He has extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship breakdowns and other complex life challenges. He has previously worked in an Early Psychosis service with HNE Health helping people with psychosis and bi-polar disorder. While he has a particular interest in supporting men’s mental health, his approach is inclusive and tailored to the unique needs of each person he works with. Regardless of background or gender, Nick helps clients feel safe, valued and supported in their therapeutic journey.
Nick’s therapy model
Nick helps clients explore the deeper patterns and emotions that shape their experiences. His work goes beyond symptom management, guiding people toward meaningful insight, emotional healing and lasting change. He believes therapy should be a collaborative process—one that fosters self-awareness, resilience and stronger connections with others. Nick has completed 3-year core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).
