Sarah works with: Adults with a focus on helping people with chronic pain and somatic symptoms.
Sarah treats: Anxiety, chronic pain, medically unexplained pain, somatic symptoms, eating disorders, depression, stress, grief, infertility and LGBTQI+ mental health
Sarah delivers: Psychodynamic therapy; a type of therapy that looks at the emotions underlying your difficulties and symptoms.

Sarah’s experience
Sarah is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years experience supporting adults through a wide range of psychological challenges. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Newcastle and is also a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Hunter Integrated Pain Service (HIPS) when she is not at Lacuna Psychology.
Sarah has a special interest in the relationship between emotional and physical health. She works with individuals experiencing chronic pain, medically unexplained symptoms and somatic conditions, helping them understand and manage their experiences holistically. She also supports individuals facing infertility and assisted fertility, eating disorders and the unique mental health challenges within the LGBTQI+ community.
Sarah’s approach to therapy
Sarah takes an integrated approach to therapy, helping clients explore the emotional factors influencing their mental and physical health. She works collaboratively to build self-awareness, resilience, and practical strategies for managing pain, distress, and psychological challenges. Sarah has completed a 3-year core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).

As Sarah Campbell also sees clients at the Hunter Integrated Pain Service (HIPS) she is only available to see clients at Lacuna Psychology on Tuesdays.
